$6.5 Million in Brownfield Opportunity Areas Program Grants

On April 20, 2011, Acting Secretary of State Ruth Noemi Colon announced that $6.5 million in the Brownfield Opportunity Areas (BOA) Program grants to fund 21 projects across the state of New York.  The funds will help revitalize communities and clean up contaminated areas, by providing a framework for redevelopment, conducting assessments, connecting communities to useful resources, providing site-specific plans, and suggesting strategies to engage public participation.
