Vacant City Plots to Become Community Gardens

The City Council in Hamilton, Ohio will soon vote on legislation that would allow vacant city land to be converted to community gardens.   The Butler County Ohio State University Extension Office and the Hamilton Urban Gardens Systems would supervise the gardens, while education programs would teach the community how to grow and preserve fresh produce.  Such community gardens are great ways to enhance communities as they encourage socializing, food, and community watch.
