Vacant Property Rehabilitation programs in the City of San Diego

In 1996, the City of San Diego implemented the Vacant Property Program to reinvigorate the economic prosperity and social vitality by reinstating vacant properties into productive, economic use.  Incentives and code enforcements remove impediments to property rehabilitation.  The Program establishes private/public partnerships to organize resources and realize the goal of vacant property revitalization and affordable housing.
